New Book! Angels in the Fire

Special ebook pricing available now available through the end of the year – Angels in the Fire

My new book, Angels in the Fire published by Bethany House is now available. You can purchase it at stores everywhere including Barnes and Noble, IndigoAmazonChristianbook.com and Walmart. A hardcover version is exclusively available at Crossings.

Angels in the fire is about my wife Tracey and me doing our best to trust God in times of incredible darkness in our life. This is our story, but it is not really about us – it’s about God, His love and faithfulness, His mighty hand and His tremendous plan for all of us – in spite of some terrible circumstances.

There was no way Dann and Tracey Stadler could avoid the drunk driver speeding toward them. Moments later—with Tracey trapped in their burning car, witnesses saw a lone figure walk out of the nearby woods and apparently save her from certain death. Seconds later, he was gone. But the disappearance of this stranger was not the end of God’s tangible intervention in their lives. As the Stadlers struggled through grueling recoveries and heartbreaking setbacks—even years after that fateful crash—the miracles and divine encounters continued. For the first time, the Stadlers share these incredible moments, offering inspiring testimony to those enduring tough times, heartache, and loss.

  1. Dear Tracey and Dann:

What an incredible story! I just finished reading your book in ONE sitting, I just couldn’t put I down. The power of God is AWESOME!!! You have been truly blessed in your lives.

I too suffer from chronic and severe pain every single minute of every single day. I was attacked by a patient at my former nursing job 9 years ago this August. I have been completely homebound since and left unable to walk very much. I must admit that I don’t always turn my life over to God the way I should but your book has prompted me to begin doing that again.

I guess I just don’t feel special enough to think why God would want to be bothered with me when there are so many other hurting people in this world, wars going on and terrible things happening to people like what happened to the both of you.

However, I just wanted to let you know how wonderful your book was and to say “thank you” for having the strength and courage” to write it.

May God continue to bless you all.

    Sincerely,
    Louise

  2. This heart breaking and wonderfully encouraging book forces the reader to focus on the presence of God and faith in their own lives. It’s a presence that is all too easy to overlook or ignore. Buy this book and read it again and again.

  3. Hi Louise,

You are indeed worthy of God’s attention! He is not bound by time or space so He has the ability, time and desire to respond to you and everyone who calls on Him. Since God is present everywhere at every time His attention on you does not take anything away from anyone else. He made you and loves you – may He bless you in your struggles and may you rest in His comfort.

I am so happy that you enjoyed the book, thank you. I have already prayed for you to be relieved of your pain.

    To God’s Glory –

    Dann

  4. Dann and Tracey, I have just finished reading this book, I am amazed at your strength and perseverance. I remember you both vividly from high school and I am in awe of the strength and love you have for God and each other. Many blessings to you and your family!

  5. Dann,
I just finished your book and wow! Thank you for sharing your story through this book! Beth Vandersnick was my cousin (her mom is my dad’s sister) and like Tracy, I have many wonderful memories of spending time with my Nebraska cousins. I was at Michelle’s wedding and I remember your poem at Beth and Chris’s funeral. It was a little surreal reading about those events that I also experienced in your book!

I only just heard about the angel that appeared at Emily’s side when the accident happened, but wasn’t surprised at all. I believe that God sends them to comfort and reassure us when we are in times of great need. Again, thank you for sharing your faith journey and how Jesus had walked alongside you the entire way. God is real and He desires a personal relationship with each and every one of us!

  6. Dann ,
I just finished your book and want to tell you how inspiring it was. God is so awesome! May He continue to bless you and your family. Thank you for sharing your story.

  8. Dann and Tracey-

We just got this book at the Public Library (where I work). Once I read the first sentence on the back cover I realized, I know Tracey! I used to work with her and she told me this story once when we were working together and she made me cry. I believed every word and it made my belief in God stronger. I have shared your wonderful story before to people and now that you have written a book I can’t wait to tell everyone about it! Thank you for sharing this amazing story with the world. Please tell Tracey I say “Hi”, she might not remember me but I will never forget her :)

  9. Just finished your book. I really enjoyed it. Through life trials, I always think of the poem, foot prints in the sand. The Lord is always there, to carry us. Also, Be Still and know I am God. You and Tracy look very familiar. Especially Tracy. About 15- 20 years ago, we lived in Menomonee Falls. The last 15 years we have lived in Edgerton, near Madison. I wanted to ask if Meghan would have gone to a preschool called, MapleTree Preschool in Menomonee Falls. I was a teacher there, and may have seen Tracy and Meghan there. Thank you again, for your wonderful story. Kathy

  10. Dann,

God led me to your book and I found such JOY from reading it. I ordered five more copies and will share with others who need to know that we are Never Alone.

Praying for you, Tracey, and family.

    Love & Laughter,

  11. Dann and Tracey, what a glorious story your lives have been, God never leaving you as you trusted Him to never fail! As a student of the Bible for over 30 years, I read “Angels in the Fire” with a “practiced” eye, waiting for any detail that might contradict God’s Word … it never came. Your story is genuine, your faith in God is amazing. How truly blessed you are to walk in such close communion with our Lord. I look forward to seeing you in Heaven some day. Thank you for a wonderful and uplifting book. I will pass it along to family. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe until His coming. diane

  12. Dann and Tracy,

Your book is just so inspiring. I felt as if I could relate to some parts due to some of the experiences of my life. As I am only 20, your book has really encouraged me and opened my eyes. I loved seeing your true devotion to God and how it is something your family practices daily, it reminds me how I need to have more consistency in my life with God, especially as a young college student. I would like to thank you both for publishing this book as it is incredibly inspiring to me.
    Thank you

    Katelyn

  13. Dann,
I started reading your book. I drive through Jackson when I go to Grafton. I could totally relate to your story. I too am an RN like Mary was, and also a firefighter. I have had to make “that call” to families like you mentioned in the book. It was interesting to read that you were from G-town. I know some people from G-town. I can’t wait to finish your book.

  14. Tracey and Dann,

I remember you guys and the crash, I never heard the details of that night or the challenges you have had to overcome. Thank you for sharing your inspiring story, a true story of how faith and determination can conquer anything !!

  15. Dann and Tracey,
I just finished your book. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiring story and especially your personal testimony at the end. My daughter/only child was killed in a car accident (she was the passenger in her friends car). She was 18yrs old and was killed on 8/6/09, just weeks before starting college. She was and still is the love and joy of my life. Every day is a struggle to survive without her physically here. I am thankful for the signs I believe God has allowed us to have from her they help keep us going along with our faith, although it as truly been tested to the core. (and my husband is a Pastor). I hope to maybe write a book as there is not alot for people who have lost their only child, but not sure where to start so still working on that. Thank you again for your amazing story of faith & hope. God bless your family. In Christ’s peace.

  16. Dear Dann and Tracy,
I just finished Angels In The Fire and I am left speechless. What an amazing story. I prayed after reading and it reaffirms my faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your wonderful story. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  17. Dear Dann and Tracy,
My husband gave me your book for Christmas and I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sure it took discipline and effort to remember and record everything, but it is much appreciated. I read your book as I was traveling to meet my new grandson and found myself in tears on the airplane. Our daughter is a burn intensive care nurse and I am eager for her to read your story. It is so encouraging to hear of God’s intervention and involvement in lives today. We have also enjoyed experiencing God’s intervention and seeing him work through our life circumstances in miraculous ways. Again, thank you for recording your story.

  18. I just finished reading your new book. It was awe inspiring! thank you for sharing.

  19. Just loved your book. It couldn’t have been easy writing it with your disabilities. Thank you for your honesty and openness. It was a great blessing. I will be glad to pass it on to someone struggling with physical trials. Well done for never giving up. Books can go to many places a person may not reach.

  20. Dann I just finished reading your book. You and Tracy and your families are truly amazing and true Christians. Thank you for sharing your story. It made me think about the times in my life that I know Angels were there for me. God Bless you and your family. I hope you will continue writing.

  21. Dear Tracey & Dann,
Thank you sooo much for sharing your story and witnessing for our Lord! I was absolutely inspired by your book and reminded of God’s awesomeness.
Like your family, I, too, have a granddaughter named Emma who ,because of undiagnosed circumstances, was born with an agar score of zero. She was flown immediately to a large city hospital and placed on a 72 hour experimental head cooling apparatus. Our faith carried us through and because of God’s grace she has also meet all benchmarks and will enter second grade shortly.
Also 17 years ago I was driving I-95 on my way to Florida with a child and Grandparents in the car when a pack of three dogs ran in front of my car! I knew there was no way to avoid them, lanes were jammed with cars, so I said a pray and asked God for help. To this day I have no idea other than your explanation how we drove through those dogs unscathed! And lastly , my first encounter with a mourning dove was seven years ago when I returned home from my mother’s funeral. So , you can imagine, as I read the latter portion of your book , I was practically mesmerized!
You have both suffered and continue to suffer dearly. I pray for your continued faith and many blessings. And thank you again for sharing your incredible story and faith-inspiring journey.

  22. Thank you for sharing, thank you, thank you.
I could feel the Holy Spirit confirming your story.
    Blessings

  23. What a blessing, just finished your book. Thank you and your family for sharing your life with us. Sometimes our life is so busy we don’t see the angels or realize that was an angel from God until we slow down and recall all our blessings from the day. I am fortunate enough and have a very close relationship with my Father that he has spoke and continues to speak to me daily. I just have to be still and like you said “Know he is God”. May God continue to bless you and keep you in his arms. Love to my brother and sister in Christ.
